I loved staying here for two months! Some issues with the heater and they came out immediately to fix it. Bonita was extremely communicative and saw to my every need. I will be back!

Hillside Haven is the perfect description for this beautiful, wonderful, peaceful space. It is such a happy place that I describe it to my friends as profoundly healing. As someone who lives in New York, I found it a wonderful place to recover from the challenges of the Covid era. It renewed me. I cannot recommend it highly enough. <br/>The space is quite beautiful inside and out. The interior is appointed with the perfect balance of beauty & comfort & the view is phenomenal. You can see the view of both the canyon & the city from both the large picture window upstairs and the fantastic large deck downstairs. For people who like to cook, the kitchen is large and well-appointed. For people who like to sleep, the master bedroom bed is large and very comfortable. For people who like to lay out in the sun, there are deck lounge chaises. <br/>As a writer & academic, I found the space inspiring, uplifting and calming. It gave me the clarity, peace and beauty to help me create one of my best and most productive writing periods of my life, complete with major breakthroughs on my book project! For more social people, it is also a wonderful space to have guests for a dinner party in the dining room or to sit together on the deck. <br/>I rented a car and was able to find street parking in front of or within less than a minute walk of the house. It is located near multiple restaurants and stores. You can easily get to the freeways to all parts of LA. While arriving in my car one day, I met and befriended the neighbors who are a lovely and sweet couple. (You have probably seen one or them on television or in films before.) <br/>Deanna & the entire host team are wonderful! They paid thoughtful attention to every detail to make my stay comfortable & Deanna responded to any questions immediately. Deanna seemed to genuinely care that I was happy with my stay while also respecting my privacy. The warm, courteous, kind & respectful hospitality she has perfected is its own valuable social art, is in short supply these days, and I greatly appreciated it throughout my stay. <br/>I will add that as a woman staying alone, I always felt completely safe, which is extremely important to me. I had total privacy and security without ever feeling isolated. There is a second bedroom for more guests as well as the comfortable living room. It would be a comfortable and happy place for children as well as adults. <br/>I stayed for six weeks and would have stayed longer if I had the time. I hope to return in the future and have recommended the place to friends. I am very grateful to the property owners and to Deanna and the host team for helping me to have an absolutely amazing summer after a difficult year. Have no doubts about selecting this wonderful, beautiful, healing space. It is genuinely a “hillside haven.” I envy your stay here. Choose it and enjoy it! Like me, you will be very happy you did!!!
